Featured Expert: Suepattra May-Slater
This month PRECISIONheor would like to highlight the work and expertise of Senior Principal Scientist Suepattra May-Slater. Suepattra is the scientific lead of PRECISIONheor’s mixed methods evidence generation research team. She specializes in the development of stakeholder (patient, caregiver, provider, payer) preference studies with a strong background in:
- mixed methods approaches
- the use of preference data to inform decision-making
- the utilization of hypothesis-generating qualitative research such as in-depth interviews and focus groups to inform value assessment.
Suepattra has conducted numerous studies across diverse therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, cardiovascular disease, serious mental illness and vaccine preventable infectious diseases.
Recently, Suepattra has authored two posters presented at recent conferences:
- American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Care Symposium 2020: Approaches to Accessing Patient and Caregiver Perspectives During Cancer Care: The Impact of a Cancer Diagnosis on Worker Productivity: Results from a Survey of Cancer Patients and Caregivers
- National Comprehensive Cancer Network Virtual Annual Conference 2021: A Qualitative Study Describing Oncology Practitioners’ Approaches to First-Line (1L) Treatment of Metastatic Urothelial Cancer (mUC) in the United States
She will also be presenting Medication Adherence Among Patients with Serious Mental Illness: Facilitators, Barriers, and Preferences for Managing Medication Intake later this month at Psych Congress 2021 October 29-November 1, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.
